Uber driver jailed for internet fraud

Justice M. A. Odegbola of the Oyo State Excessive Courtroom, on Monday, jailed Michael Tosin Lawal, an Uber driver.

Lawal pleaded responsible to an amended one rely cost bordering on acquiring cash by false pretence.

He was prosecuted by the Ibadan Zonal Workplace of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC).

In keeping with the cost, Lawal in 2020, with intent to defraud, obtained Present Playing cards from one Trevor, a white male.

Justice Odegbola convicted and sentenced Lawal to a few months in jail.

The choose ordered the convict to restitute $50 to his sufferer by the EFCC and forfeit objects recovered from him to the Federal Authorities of Nigeria.
