The enterprise rescue practitioners made it recognized on Thursday that the lengthy awaited funding from the federal government had not being met.

This persuaded the practitioners to name for a collectors’ assembly on Friday to overview the enterprise rescue plan.

A practitioners, Siviwe Dongwana, knowledgeable collectors on Friday letter of funding from the federal government was obtained.

He indicated that it was cosigned by the directors-general of the division of public enterprises and the Nationwide Treasury.

Nationwide Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola after the creditor’s assembly stated the union had “been right here earlier than”  with authorities assuring funding.

She stated even with authorities assurances, the federal government had missed the deadline to offer funding for the enterprise rescue plan on Thursday.

“This promise will imply one thing when there’s cash within the financial institution,” stated Hlubi-Majola.
