Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has reacted to the discharge of Oodua Individuals’s Congress (OPC) members Police arrested over Iskili Wakili.
Dauda Kazeem, Awodele Adedigba and Ramon Hassan had been a part of the OPC staff that apprehended the alleged ethnic warlord on Sunday.
After the seize on the Kajola space of Ibarapa North Native Authorities in Oyo State, the Police arrested them for alleged homicide of an unidentified civilian. The motion was extensively condemned.
Adams, in his response, lambasted the Police for treating the OPC members like criminals, after serving to them to nab Wakili.
Talking on Tuesday, Adams, the OPC Nationwide Chief, described their freedom as excellent news.
“I thank all that raised their voices in opposition to the unjust detention, together with nicely that means Nigerians, public opinion specialists, socio-cultural teams, corresponding to Afenifere, Yoruba Summit Group (YSG) and the media.
“I wish to guarantee Nigerians that the OPC will proceed to assist and complement the efforts of all safety businesses, together with the police in making certain that the south west is protected”, Adams added.
Wakili and his gang have been accused of crimes together with homicide, rape and kidnapping.
In late February, the OPC fished out his boys, together with Isiaka Muhammadu. He’s thought to be Wakili’s second in command.
