Wakili: Nigeria Police losing respect – Gani Adams on arrest of OPC members

Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, has condemned the arrest of Oodua Individuals’s Congress (OPC) members who arrested Iskili Wakili.

The alleged ethnic warlord was apprehended on Sunday within the Kajola space of Ibarapa North Native Authorities.

In an announcement on Monday, Adams lambasted the Police for treating OPC members like criminals.

The pinnacle of the group regretted that the Police did not act whereas Wakili “terrorized the individuals”.

The Yoruba chief described Wakili as a comic who pretended to be unhealthy to keep away from investigation.

Adams urged the safety company to launch the OPC members, and focus on eliminating Igangan forests and different areas of bandits and kidnappers.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured that his administration will do all the things potential to stop miscarriage of justice on the arrest.

Makinde appealed to residents of the state to stay calm and to chorus from ethnic profiling.

In late February, OPC apprehended Isiaka Muhammadu. He’s considered Wakili’s second in command to Wakilu.
