A suspect who was allegedly concerned in a cash-in-transit theft which passed off in Rustenburg in July 2019 is now behind bars.
Hawks group arrested the needed suspect throughout an operation in Hillbrow.
The 31-year-old CIT suspect was caught through the multi-pronged operation by numerous regulation enforcement businesses on Friday.
Hawks North West spokesperson Capt Tlangelani Rikhotso stated through the heist in 2019 “the closely armed suspects allegedly used two autos to drive an armoured automobile to a halt on the intersections of Fatima Bayat and Bosch streets in Rustenburg.”
“They then used explosives to blow open the safes of the armoured automobile and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash,” Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso stated in an announcement on Saturday.
The person is anticipated to seem on the Rustenburg Magistrates Courtroom on Monday.
