The Secretary of Shiroro Native Authorities Space of Niger State, Adams Kefas, on Monday, revealed that spiritualists and vigilantes had been paid N14million to struggle banditry within the council.
Kefas stated this throughout an interrogation earlier than the Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik Judicial Fee of Inquiry whereas questioning the suspended Chairman of Shiroro LGA, Suleiman Dauda Chukuba, over a petition on alleged misappropriation of N50million tenement price.

The council boss stated engagement of the spiritualists was carried out on the directive of the embattled chairman, saying the choice was primarily based on recommendation by residents within the space.
Kefas stated the advisors advised them many communities being attacked by bandits had engaged the companies of spiritualists and succeeded in resolving the safety challenges within the communities.
He stated he was initially not advised he was going to barter with spiritualists till he obtained there.

Responding, Chairman of the Fee, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, criticised the chairman for being careless in its extra-budgetary bills on vigilantes and spiritualists.
