Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has known as for the empowerment of the media and journalists within the nation.

Saraki made the decision in commemoration of World Press Freedom Day on Monday.

He stated journalist have to be empowered to inform highly effective tales that may help total collective improvement; maintain leaders and establishments accountable, foster peace and unity and encourage a way of patriotic obligation amongst the citizenry.
